It’s not just Pilates. Their safety is in your hands.
buy nowIt’s not just Pilates. Their safety is in your hands. Why Pilates Matters During Pregnancy and Postnatal Recovery
Â
Pregnancy and postnatal clients aren’t just “regular” clients with a baby bump or a new baby.
They have unique physiological changes, medical risks, and exercise considerations—and if you don’t know them, you could cause harm.
Without proper training, you risk:
-
Injury to the mother – from overexertion, poor positioning, or unsafe exercises
-
Complications for the baby – from movements that increase pressure or stress
-
Legal and professional risk – if you fail to screen and adapt appropriately
-
Loss of client trust – if they sense you’re unsure or unprepared
This is not the time to “wing it” or rely on general Pilates knowledge.
You need specialist skills, up-to-date evidence-based guidelines, and confidence to work safely with this population.
